It's All About Apeiros Robot!
Apeiros (pronounced “ah.pay.ross”) is the next generation educational robot that has been expertly designed for learning! Apeiros is 100% Arduino compatible.
Infrared sensors mounted within the custom plastic injection molded robot body can detect obstacles and walls. Apeiros is able to manipulate objects by using an optional servo gripper!
Display characters on an optional 8×2 LCD or play tone sounds with a built-in buzzer. A highly efficient buck/boost regulator design allows for Apeiros to be powered by (4) AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
Sense ambient light levels using (3) front mounted light sensors. Or trigger custom actions using a momentary push button.
Programmatically control a total of (4) LEDs: (3) green and (1) red LED. Connect an optional Bluetooth module and control Apeiros from your smartphone! Or add optional gear motor encoders and explore advanced motion control! Refer to overview image for more details.
Program Apeiros using Arduino IDE
Apeiros has been designed around the ATmega32U4 microcontroller. A custom bootloader is factory programmed into each Aperios so that you can use the Arduino IDE for developing and uploading new sketches.
Apeiros can be programmed from a computer using any operating system that supports the Arduino environment. This includes Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, XP, Linux, and Mac OS X.
We created the Apeiros Class Libraries to ease new sketch development. Reference the Apeiros libraries and you'll have access to powerful functions. A wide array of example sketches is included with the class libraries, so that you can program Apeiros right out of the box! Simply compile, connect a USB cable to Apeiros and upload your new sketch! Yes it's that easy!
Check out our collection of Apeiros Lessons. We will show you how to get the most out of your Apeiros experience!

Explore Apeiros Design Files
We have spent years designing and developing Apeiros, but have plans to share the design files. We intend to share the electrical and mechanical designs along with the software libraries that have been created! We know that the best learning manifests when learners are able to "look under the hood" and dig into professional designs.
